How do you really make money on the Internet
Let’s cut to the chase, how do you make money on the Internet? You want to make money on the Internet but you don’t want to have to go through scam after scam to find what works for you. To make money on the Internet you must find reputable sources that lead to reputable jobs, people, and solid connections.
Start out by going to Alexa.com. Alexa is a website that gives you access to free web traffic metrics, top sites lists, site demographics, hot urls, and much more.
When you get to Alexa click on the top sites link. This link provides a list of the top sites on the Internet and this is determined by the amount of traffic the sites receive.
Here is a list of the top 20:
- Yahoo!
- YouTube
- Windows Live
- Wikipedia
- Blogger.com
- Microsoft Network (MSN)
- Baidu.com
- Yahoo Japan
- Myspace
- Google India
- Google Germany
- QQ.com
- Microsoft Corp
- WordPress.com
- RapidShare
- Google.fr
Now that you know the top 20, go to the websites and develop a relationship by registering and participating in the many forums and blog discussions that are prevalent on most of the aforementioned websites.
If you don’t have a blog, get one at Blogger.com or WordPres, or Today.com, and start blogging immediately. Your blog name should be used as your registered name or user name on each of the sites that you link up with. By doing so, you are leaving your imprint on every forum, blog, or discussion that you participate in, thereby creating an opportunity for more visitors to come to your website or blog. Many of the discussion groups will allow you to link to your blog or website which gives thousands, if not millions of people access to your virtual home on the Internet.
Join Affiliate Programs and Contextual Ad Programs and place banners, links, and contextual ads on your blog. As you generate more traffic, you will earn more and more money. Once you have your advertising in place, traffic equates to dollars.
The beauty of it all; you don’t have to spend one dime. Your only investment is time. You will need to spend time participating in the various networks you’ve joined. Your success depends on how active you are in the various communities. Picture it as if you have your own business and you move into a new metropolitan area. Well, in order for people to know that you are there you must introduce yourself and your business to the neighborhood. It works the same way with the various Social Networks that you sign up with, you must introduce yourself to the neighborhood that is the World Wide Web.
